Vévoda a vévodkyně ze Sussexu

Dne 19. února 2020 se objevili nové informace o Harrym a Meghan. Buckinghamský palác oznámil, že 31. březen bude poslední den Harryho a Meghan jako vyšších členů královské rodiny, 1. dubna bude zrušena jejich kancelář v Buckinghamském paláci a v tento den vstoupí v platnost 12měsíční období, během kterého se ujistí, že tento systém funguje. Uzavření kanceláře má za následek propuštění všech jejich zaměstnanců (někteří budou přesunuti do jiných kanceláří v Buckinghamském paláci).

Také bylo potvrzeno, že si zachovají své tituly vévody a vévodkyně ze Sussexu, hraběte a hraběnky z Dumbarton a barona a baronky z Kilkeel. Harry si zachová své vojenské tituly, ale nebude s nimi plnit žádné povinnosti. A nakonec budou muset změnit své jméno/značku "Sussex Royal", protože způsobuje mnoho kontroverzí.

Naposledy budou zastupovat královnu 28. února (Harry), 7. března - Mountbatten Festival (oba), 9. března - Commonwealth Day (oba) a květen - Invictus games v Nizozemsku (oba).

Hrabě a hraběnka Snowdon

Po 6 dnech od oznámení, že se Peter a Autumn Phillips rozvádějí (zde), zveřejnil další královský pár tuto smutnou zprávu. Tentokrát konec manželství po 26 letech oznámili David Armstron-Jones (2. hrabě ze Snowdon) a Serena Armstrong-Jones (roz. Stanhope), učinili tak 17. února 2020. Mluvčí páru oznámil: "Hrabě a hraběnka ze Snowdonu se přátelsky shodli, že jejich manželství skončilo a dohodli se na rozvodu."

David je synem princezny Margaret (sestra současné královny). Se Serenou měli svatbu 8. října 1993 v kostele sv. Markéty ve Westminsteru. Spolu mají dvě děti (syna a dceru): Charles Armstrong-Jones, vikomt Linley (nar. 1999) a Margarita Armstrong-Jones (nar. 2002).

Duke and Duchess of Sussex

On February 19, 2020, new information about Harry and Meghan appeared. Buckingham Palace announced that March 31 would be the last day of Harry and Meghan as senior members of the royal family, on April 1, their office at Buckingham Palace will be closed and a 12-month period will come into force on that day to ensure that the system is working. Closing the office results in the dismissal of all their staff (some staff will be moved to other offices in Buckingham Palace).

6 days after the announcement that Peter and Autumn Phillips are getting divorced (here), another royal couple published this sad news. This time, after 26 years, David Armstron-Jones (2nd Earl of Snowdon) and Serena Armstrong-Jones (nee Stanhope) announce the end of the marriage, on February 17, 2020. The couple's spokesman said: "The Earl and the Countess of Snowdon were amicably agreed that their marriage was over and they agreed to divorce."

David is the son of Princess Margaret (sister of the present queen). He and Serena had a wedding on October 8, 1993 in the Church of St. Margaret in Westminster. Together they have two children (a son and a daughter): Charles Armstrong-Jones, Viscount Linley (born 1999) and Margarita Armstrong-Jones (born 2002).
